Terms of Service

Last Updated: August 3, 2025

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the services of Global Paragliding Adventures ("GPA," "we," "us," or "our"). By booking a tour with us, you, the pilot ("you," "pilot"), agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Booking and Payment

1.1. To reserve your spot on a tour, a non-refundable 50% deposit of the total tour cost is required. This deposit allows us to secure essential logistics, including accommodation, transportation, and local permits on your behalf.
1.2. The remaining 50% balance is due no later than 60 days before the tour's scheduled start date.
1.3. Failure to pay the final balance by the due date may result in the cancellation of your booking and the forfeiture of your deposit.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

2.1. Cancellation by the Pilot:

  • If you cancel your booking, your initial 50% deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • If you have paid the full amount (100%) and cancel your booking more than 30 days before the tour start date, you will receive a refund equivalent to 50% of the total tour cost.
  • Cancellations made within 30 days of the tour start date are not eligible for a refund.
2.2. Cancellation by GPA: In the unlikely event that we must cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., political instability, natural disaster), you will be offered the choice of a full refund of all amounts paid to GPA or a credit of equal value towards a future tour

3. Pilot Requirements and Responsibilities

3.1. Certification: All pilots must hold a valid, internationally recognized paragliding license equivalent to a minimum of P2 / IPPI 3, or as specified for the particular tour.
3.2. Insurance: It is mandatory for all pilots to have comprehensive travel insurance that explicitly covers paragliding activities, including medical emergencies, third-party liability, and emergency rescue/repatriation. Proof of insurance must be provided before the tour begins.
3.3. Equipment: You are responsible for ensuring your equipment (wing, harness, reserve parachute) is certified, well-maintained, and appropriate for the planned flying activities.

4. Travel Documentation and Flights

4.1. GPA does not provide visa services or arrange international flight tickets. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have a valid passport, obtaining any necessary visas for entry into Colombia, and booking your own international flights to the designated arrival airport.
4.2. GPA's service includes airport transfers from the designated tour airport to our accommodations on the tour start and end dates only.

5. Safety and Conduct

5.1. Paragliding is an inherently risky activity. You acknowledge and accept these risks.
5.2. The lead guide's decision on all matters related to safety, including but not limited to flight conditions and daily itineraries, is final. You must adhere to all safety briefings and instructions.
5.3. GPA reserves the right to remove any pilot from a tour, without refund, if their conduct is deemed to be unsafe, disruptive, or harmful to themselves, the group, or the environment.

6. Weather and Itinerary

6.1. Flying conditions are subject to weather. While we plan our itineraries to maximize airtime, we cannot guarantee flyable weather. No refunds will be issued for days lost due to poor weather conditions.
6.2. GPA reserves the right to modify the tour itinerary for reasons of safety or logistics.
